Hi,
Recently I found that PrimoCache is not working and had below error,
"Kernel component is not running! If you haven't restarted the computer since installation, you shall restart it."
I am already on latest trial version (2.5).
It will keep it as same after restart.
Anyone have clue on that?
Thanks.

Re: Kernel component is not running!
Did you install PrimoCache before? This error appears when PrimoCache's kernel driver "rxfcv.sys" is not working. Here are possible reasons:
1. trial expired.
2. Windows is in the safe-boot mode
3. Antivirus program blocked the driver "rxfcv.sys"
4. rxfcv.sys is corrupted.

I have exactly the same problem. My trial is on and my cache no works. I want to buy after trial ends, but I'm afraid if it works well! I'm using the last version 3.02. Thank you!
Re: Kernel component is not running!
@lucienbr, did you change the system time? Is there 360 total security installed on your computer?

hi I have the same issue. This error came up right before my trial expired and i could not figure it out, even uninstalling and reinstalling did not fix the issue. How can i resolve this? I may purchase primocache but am afraid will have this issue
After my trial expired i tried maxvelossd, but its quite buggy,

Re: Kernel component is not running!
I would recommend to remove maxvelossd ASAP. That thing could corrupt your system drive and you would be having fun redoing your Windows.
Anyway, try reinstalling Primocache, reboot, and use revo uninstaller so it can deep clean your registry after the normal uninstall. Reinstall Primocache afterward. That should fix your problem.

Re: Kernel component is not running!
Do you have any other drive tools running at the same time (or in the background/as a service) that might interfere with Primocache's code? Things like Intel RST, Samsung Magician, etc.
Have you tried uninstalling Primocache, then finding it's folder and manually deleting it after a reboot, and before the reinstall?

Re: Kernel component is not running!
One reason is just because the trial expired. Another possible reason is that the 360 total security blocked the PrimoCache driver if you have the 360 total security installed.
