Persistent L2 cache - multiboot, restore, safe mode updates

Post by AbsoluteJoe »

:?:
Is Persistent L2 cache for a partition maintained properly across multi-OS boots, system restores or recovery, and/or safe mode updates ?
My concern - Since it is possible to update cached partitions when the PrimoCache driver is not active, making some, or all, of the L2 data obsolete,
does PrimoCache prevent any unpredictable behaviors, system failures, or data corruption after a normal system reboot when the PrimoCache driver with an obsolete L2 cache again becomes active ?
Can PrimoCache be updated to add an option to make L2 cache non-persistent (as it was in FancyCache) ?

PrimoCache will invalidate L2 cache in the case of FULL system restore or safe-mode boot, or on abnormal shutdown. In other cases, it cannot know if L2 cache is in sync with the actual partition or not. Users shall not "offline" modify the actual partiton and L2 storage. See "Level-2 (L2) Cache" in the following page.
