Wonder will we able to get a beta version 5.0 to test driver. We use to get one before a major version release.

I used to be a big fan of Primocache, but this thing has been on life support for years. This is niche software, so it's probably not high up on the priority list.

And I have to admit, the use case is becoming smaller and smaller every year. The only HDD's I have left are in my NAS and that thing has its own caching SSD's in it. Give it a few more years and it will be all flash.

I remember many years ago, using Primocache Server edition to speed up MS SQL Server. The same suggestion now would get me booted out of the meeting.

Unless they come up with some cool new features, I don't really see a future for Primocache. Sorry.

Well, on all my life, I paid for only 2 appz. This one and Freemake Video Converter.
I do not have HDDs anymore. Only 2x 4TB Samsung SSDs.

Windows 11 26100.4652 is much snappier with 40GB primocache set on 96GB DDR-5 memory.
i get Read Write Rates ~34.000mb/s up to 40GB/s
But i want a better GUI with more freedom and options.

Primocache still works wonders in 2025 when using Media Creation Software, Music Software or LLM´s

Data cached in 40GB DDR5-6000 memory has 10000x times faster access time than my EVO990 Plus for example.

So, still in 2025 with 12-16 Cores and Super DDR-5 memory with 7GB fast NVM , primocache is still viable

Well, name the features ...
(and remember it is a block caching device, so folder or process inclusion / exclusion won't happen)

As I see it, my physical servers (all HyperV) are performing about 4 times as fast with PrimoCache, and can thus each support 4 times the amount of users. And no, we don't use cheap disks ...

Any update on version 5.0? It's been a while and the other message says the ETA was Jan-Mar.
Well, in IT you have:
1. Fast and stable software
2. Cheap software
3. Software that is delivered in time

But you can have only 2 out of those 3.
As I prefer 1 and 2, please just wait until they are finished :D
