How about if you press F8 to enter the boot option menu and select "last working configure"?

PS. I think our drivers are designed to be not working on safeboot mode. So usually you can enter safeboot mode and then uninstall FancyCache.

I had to mount the registry hive on another pc using regedit.

then look for the lowerfilter under \controll\class\{71A27 ............... 2092f}
then delete the key that says lowerfilter rxfcv.sys
then disable the driver from start

Nope, last known/good config didn't work, i guess it didn't save previous copy of the system registry hive.



Also for some reason a system restore never happened. So maybe have your install program initiate a restore point?

Actually going to safemode never loaded.

disable FancyCcV from recovery console only caused the pc to reboot in either normal startup or safe mode.


So that shows it was loading in safemode for some reason.

What could be causing the driver rxfcv.sys from not loading properly?

corrupt file?
upperfilter?

IDE filter drivers do tend to piss me off. I remember on another system I installed two backup softwares and they conflicted, so i had to remove one of the filters. And I remember when uninstalling Acronis, it deleted all files but forgot to remove the filter.


Windows is not smart enough to know if a filter driver fails to load or is not loaded, then not use the filter and ignore it.
And windows recovery console gives no way of disabling filter drivers, only disable the service.

Anything that uses filter drivers on the IDE or volumes is risky if installation problem.

I just re-installed the software, and same problem, my pc never boots just stuck on the Windows Xp boot screen trying to load windows.

I think there may be some conflicts with Arconis programs. We'll check it.
