User experience: benchmarks

I tried to measure the difference with and without FC on several common real life tasks
My system is an i5 laptop with a slow 5400 disk and 8GB of RAM. Windows write cache is enabled, and there is a ReadyBoost sd-card.

1) Compiling a C++ project
Without FC: first time 2:04, second time 1:45
With FC: first time 1.55, second time 1:49

2) Exporting all messages from Windows Live Mail:
With FC: first time 3:50, second time 1:24
Without FC: 1:57

3) Copying directories:

With FC, 9000 files, 900MB 3:51
Without FC, 5600 files, 860MB 3:46
Without FC, 12000 files, 800MB 2:39

Conclusion: non-conclusive. One thing is certain however: Crystal mark and other synthetic tests are absolutely irrelevant for estimating real-life benefits.
