For those of you who think that SSDs wear out easily

This is an urban legend. It was thought that SSDs would be able to wear out when first gen drives came on the market but it never became a real issue.

This press release is for a PCI SSD but they are the exact same memory chips that are in a 2.5 SATA SSD. 10 Petabytes of writes is a HUGE amount of data and the average user will never come anywhere near this (Even in a server environment 10PB of writes is extremely rare).
The P420m is rated for 10PB of total drive writes (~4 drive fills per day for 5 years)
