FC on a RAID 1 system

Post by Sibolo »

I would like to install FC on a system which has Raid 1 on. What is the best configuration of the software? I have 16 GB Ram and could assign about 8GB to FC.
Thanks.

Sorry for missing this post.

The exact best settings may depend on the real scenarios. Usually, you may simpley use the program's default values.

Actually the program shows me two disks, should I start caching both for half the overall cache size?

Hi Sibolo,

You may try the Volume Edition instead of Disk Edition. Thus the program can cache data based on the volumes which may contains two or more disks.
