Re: A lot more memory used then allocated
Have you tried disabling deferred write to see what effect that has on the memory usage?

Re: Disable SuperFetch
Superfetch can help to "prime" the cache that PrimoCache uses, since anything read into memory is also going to be cached by at least the L1. I've tried it on and off, and having fetch on usually loads both L1/L2 faster. But then I have 48gb in my system, so there's no shortage of headroom.

Re: Primocache stops writing to L2 after a while
Don't know about Superfetch - one of my criteria for thoroughly checking PrimoCache recently was to completely disable Superfetch. There's no point in populating both memory and memory-disk-cache with the same sort of data, unless that is partly what L2 keys off of (I really don't know). Would be ni...

Re: Primocache stops writing to L2 after a while
I've been using PrimoCache since it was called FancyCache Davey - it used to behave much differently than it does now with 1.0.1. Something changed recently, and not for the better. The L1 cache used to fill up VERY quickly, and the L2 used to fill to at least 75% in the course of one day. That scre...

Re: Primocache stops writing to L2 after a while
I think this may be caused by busy source disk. In order to not affect the disk perfomance, PrimoCache only writes data to L2 cache when source disk is idle. This is a problem. My C: drive is almost *never* completely idle. It has tasks that read/write to it in tiny bits every second, almost contin...

Re: Crash Wiped my cache!?
If this is going to be normal behavior, I would suggest a different process for validating the L2 cache other than completely wiping it (since it can take hours or days to refill itself). Flag files in the cache as "dirty" and do a consistency check on them, flagging them as clean when the...

Re: 0.99 L2 cache is reset by restart after shutdown
Quick update: L2 cache cleared itself again. No abnormal shutdowns, startups, etc. 27+ gb of information simply dumped, system started over again.

Re: 0.99 L2 cache is reset by restart after shutdown
I can confirm an issue with the L2 cache. Mine was working through around 8 reboots over the course of one day. After two reboots today, it cleared itself and is starting over filling back up. It is a 30gb SSD L2 that took a while to get even 20gb full. At peak it was around 25gb full. Not sure what...
