Thank you for your suggestion. Windows does not allow "direct-mapped" cache. The only thing we can do is working with Windows' built-in file cache, which should make caching more efficient.

Yes, you can just use L2 cache. This is one of the functions that the program supports.

My first question is, what sort of performance is important to PrimoCache? Is random IO performance the most important, or does PrimoCache read/write from L1 and spinning disk to/from L2 cache in sequential reads and writes? The sequential and random read/write performance of SSD are both important...

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes, this is the MFU algorithm and actually our cache algorithm combined both MRU and MFU.
