Re: any suggestion?
I would just install windows on the Hard Disk and use the ssd as page file location and L2 read only cache with a small L1 write only only cache. Also install windows with a 8-16k cluster size to reduce overhead(there's youtube videos on how to use a non default cluster size for windows install.

Re: Somthing toward a "sticky:" Suggestiion for a configuration discussion for various PC usage patterns
I don't think L1 cache is super useful as a read cache unless it's 16Gb +. I'm just using a 2Gb write only L1 cache and 200Gb ssd L2 cache with read/writes, Increases the performance of my L2 cache a lot because it never has to write at the same time as it's reading now thanks to the L1 cache. And e...

Re: PrimoCache flush write cache taking forever?
it says you have zero free space for writes on l2 cache and also zero data written to the l2 cache in your pic so for some reason data isn't being written to the l2 cache when the l1 gets full.

Re: PrimoCache flush write cache taking forever?
Do you have read/write enabled on the l2 cache? Maybe the L1 cache was getting full and instead of spilling over onto L2 cache it was going straight to HD.

Re: Can too much Caching Affect the SSD Life?
i'm using a small 1Gb write only L1 cache to prevent needing to read/write to my 200Gb L2 ssd cache at the same time. Increases performance and reduces wear on the SSD a bit, not that I think SSD wear is something to worry about.

Re: primocache 2.45% hitrate
I'm seeing the same thing. VMware Workstation 15 seems to be performing disk I/O in a manner that completely bypasses Primocache. All other apps on my system are being cached just fine but VM disk I/O doesn't show up in the Primocache stats window. Edit: I didn't grammar correctly the first time. I...

write defer idle setting
Hi Im using a 240Gb ssd to cache a 2tb 7200rpm drive and am just wondering what is defined as idle in the deferred write setting? Is it that the HD is not reading anything so it's ok to write?
