Suggestions for advanced/corporate use

I understand that I'm not really the target market for this product, as far as I can tell it is more geared towards end users (gamers, powerusers) but after reviewing a few enterprise class alternatives I have to say you really have a solid contender. I just finished an evaluation of Velobit Hyperca...

Re: Problems!

@hurjus If you had to clear your motherboard's CMOS you probably are experiencing some sort of memory corruption of your bios flash RAM. This instance was probably just coincidental (fancy cahche should have no access to your MB flash) but I'd recommend upgrading your bios firmware if it's not on th...

Re: Works in Win2012 (w stor spaces) but I have some questio

My pleasure. I think you guys have a great piece of software and you're one of the very few companies who hasn't been tied up in an exclusive deal with a drive manufacturer. I'll be keeping a close eye on the progress of this project and I'm curious to see what it evolves in to. :D

Re: Windows swap file

There seems to be some confusion as to what the pagefile's purpose is. Though you can disable the pagefile, you shouldn't. This is a bad practice perpetuated by people who don't really understand what the function of the pagefile really is and the perfomance gains are negligible or nonexistent if yo...

Re: help w settings under "enable defer write"

I've found that a lot of these settings are going to be dependent on your particular hardware config. You'll really want to do a bunch of benchmarking to find the sweet spot for your setup. My advice is increment up the block size while using Anvil pro to simulated non-sequential disk writes, test a...

Works in Win2012 (w stor spaces) but I have some questions.

Hi, I just wanted to let you guys know I did some testing of running FancyCache in Windows and it seems to work with no problems other then the ones mentioned here already. I was able to use FancyCache in combination with storage space with no problem. Here is my test machine Core i7 970 24GB 2xIBM ...
