Re: Freeze problems when using primocache
Just a quick update. Am now using 2.4.0, and have been for about a week - no problems. I think the issue was a 'phantom' one. Re-installing Windows 10 was a good idea, and I would recommend it to anyone whose machine has been 'upgraded' to Windows 10 from a previous Windows version. Thanks to suppo...

Re: Aug 31st Windows 10 Updating Erases Entire Cache
I found it also removed drives assigned to cache tasks. Wasn't surprised, and they were easily re-added.

Re: Optimal l1 cache for 8gb ram memory and 500gb hdd
It takes a while to fill the L1 cache up. You can try to force it (If it's a Steam game) by verifying the game's files. Or if you have another drive, you can copy the game folder to it (which reads it into the L1 cache as much as it can), and then delete the copy on the new drive. With a small 1gb c...

Re: primocache and Perfectdisk defrag conflicts?
I usually disable automatic defrag when using a disk cache program like PrimoCache. It works against itself when the defrag pulls sectors out of the cache randomly. Instead, I would do manual full defrags every 60 or so days, and inbetween just let PrimoCache do it's thing. Seemed to work much bette...

Re: L2 NOT Working
Like support said - L2 has to be on a different physical disk (RAM disk, SSD, etc) to be used. Glad it works better for you now.

Re: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSOD
I can't verify that problem on W10 x64 w/anniversary edition. It may be related to the 32-bit OS and/or Primo on it. I can use sleep, hibernate, hybrid-sleep/hibernate, etc without problems. Can run any type of drive/system benchmark, or open 20+ browser (Chrome) windows. Primo might be having issue...

Re: BSOD 2.5 on Windows 10
This could be chipset/driver related too. I have been running Primocache 2.4/2.5 as long as they've been available, and have had W10 anniversary edition since around Aug 5th. I have not experienced any BSODs, or even had the cache dumped on shutdown or restart. My hardware: MSI Z170A M5 Gaming Mothe...

Re: Freezes with Windows 10 Redstone and Primocache 2.4 and 2.5
I suspect it is related to the automatic memory compression in Windows 10, coupled with the fact you have the absolute bare minimum RAM recommended for that OS. I can't even begin to imagine giving any of the 4gb away to Primo for a L1 cache. Unfortunately, as you mentioned, you did both upgrades at...

Re: GAMERS SUPPORT FOR PRIMOCACHE
As Support said, it's in the works. I and others have expressed an interest in the feature. There's just a lot of work to be done prior to it.

Re: Freeze problems when using primocache
I doubt it is PrimoCache itself causing the trouble. It's possible it is a combination of PC and a driver or utility program, or some Windows setting. I recall with my old Asus P6T motherboard I had some Intel chipset issues I had to troubleshoot for weeks, and finally targeted the Intel driver util...
