Re: Block Size vs. Cluster Size
:D thank you, magic-man Yes, the Volume Edition shows the cluster size, while Disk Edition not. Because there might be multiple volumes with different cluster size in one disk. Now the problem is that if the block size is too small, the additional memory allocated will be large. In the next version,...

Block Size vs. Cluster Size
To get the best read performance, the Block Size of FancyCache is recommended to be equal to or less than the cluster size of the file system.
This applies to
1) the FancyCache Volume Edition,
2) the FancyCache Disk Edition if the drive is SSD and was partitioned under Win7.

Re: SSD usage and other suggestions
Hi MrPras, Thank you for your testing and suggestions! Suggestion 1~5 is regarding "performance statistics". We'll improve it later. But to be frank, "performance statistics" is not our current focus. 6 Standard settings interface - perhaps a low-medium-high standard settings cou...

Re: [Dec. 30] FancyCache Beta 0.4.1 published.
FC can supports large enough disk size & cache size. you can increase the block size if the disk size increases. FC will pop up the error message if it can't support the large disk size or cache size under specified block size. PS. you might wait the next version of FC which has some improvements.

Re: Trimmed Blocks on Raid 0 SSD? And huge Writes (Total)?
we'll pay close attention to this issue.Ejizz wrote:I'm using W7 x64 and unfortunately I have been getting random hard lockup's where my system just freezes and I have to cut the power and reboot.
I have now just un-installed FC (volume version) to be sure that it's the culprit.

Re: Trimmed Blocks on Raid 0 SSD? And huge Writes (Total)?
@magic-man: I can't agree with you more! :D @Ejizz: The test size "1000MB" in CDM means that the all the test data ranges from logical address 0 to logical address 1000MB. It does NOT mean the test data amount is 1000MB in one test run. Normally test bench tools do multiple repeated write ...
