Re: [2019-12-31] PrimoCache 3.2.0 and 4.0.0 alpha released!
Is it the case that that, while using the 4.0 Alpha, that the L2 cache can't be shared between two Cache tasks? I use two cache tasks because I prefer a very high delayed write with one of my drives. I get a bit of "urgent" write activity to that drive, and I'm hoping that an L2 cache woul...

Re: [2019-12-31] PrimoCache 3.2.0 and 4.0.0 alpha released!
I'm trying out the Alpha, and it wasn't until I uninstalled it, after rebooting and even later trying the new regular release, and then fresh installing it, was PrimoCache able to "see" some of my drives as being available to be used as an L2 cache. After I first installed this Alpha on to...

Re: Enable deferred-writes causes crashing
I second the motion for a screenie of your settings. There used to be a glitch in a Batman game that crashed your system if it had less than 16 GB of ram. That has me wondering if, as an experiment, you have enough ram to use PrimoCache while allowing Windows 16 GB of ram for itself and programs to ...

Re: [2019-12-31] PrimoCache 3.2.0 and 4.0.0 alpha released!
Very nice, thank you. I'm interested in "2. Flush level-1 deferred write-data to level-2 cache when level-1 cache is full.", as that could be a way to really turbocharge a system with several spinners, SSDs, and optionally even access to a dedicated NVMe SSD partition, or even the whole dr...

Re: Cache task volumes specs disappeared
IIRC that's normal, and it happens to me as well when the Windows OS gets a version bump. I guess it's a case of "better safe than sorry".

Re: Kernel Component Is Not Running!
The spring update for Windows that just came out gets seen as basically a new OS by Primocache, and it caused me to have to re-add the volumes I want it to cache. But this isn't a new thing, it happens when Microsoft issues a major update to the OS. My point is that maybe this is related. Did you ju...
