Share L1-cache between drives?
Hello, i actually have a 4GiB r/w-L1-cache for my SSD and another 1GiB r/w-L1-cache for my HDD. So when i transfer a file from my HDD to my SSD it reads the file into the HDD-L1-cache, then passes it on to the SDD-L1-cache waiting there for a flush to disk. I think it would be quite better to have o...

Re: Are you still developing Fancy Cache?
Does fancy cache support invoke immediate starting the write-flush when the data planned to be transeived has a higher filesize that the cache-capacity before, so it will try to prevent running out of cache (wait-times) as far as possible? I means lets say i want to write 2GB to a HDD that offers 10...

Re: Can "latency=infinite" setting work?
Ok so i see benefit in that high latency strategy for high amount (i.e. +5GiB of L1-cache) for OS-SSDs, But what about when using read and Write-Cache with small amount of L1-cache (i.e. 1GiB) for a storage HDD. I think it would be better to start writing immediately, because when i write 10GB... wi...
