Re: what happens to L1 cache content on shutdown?

First the defer-write data (if any) gets stored (flush to disk).
After that any R/W-cached blocks get wiped, yes.

Re: Function : No Write-Flush on Shutdwon

Please provide the use case in which no-write-flush on shutdown makes sense. When you shut down your computer, on most hardware which usually contain nonpermanent RAM, this is neccesary to prevent data-loss in write-cache configuration +defer-write. Extreme large defer-write timeouts do not make you...

Re: [2013-10-28] PrimoCache beta 0.9.2

It's good to have it fixed finally, don't get me wrong. Well, i still have to say, that I like to see such issue-description in the "Known Issues"-Thread for the past couple of weeks. For informational accuracy you need to do this for any issue that you are able to reproduce and cannot imm...

Re: [2013-10-28] PrimoCache beta 0.9.2

I see forum threads people claiming exact that bug about a month ago (see my quotes, they include date) and you acknowledged these. It seems like you are aware of this long time ago, thats why im so curios. If thats the truth (2 days), im really sry. I think what you mean is that you found the "...

Re: Extended Trial Key File

As long as PrimoCache is beta, there will be trial-extensions. The idea is, yes they often extended trial with new key files.. I assume they came within the last week of the trial. Although when they release 0.9.2 with a new keyfile together, then the PrimoCache auto-updater will do all it's magic w...

Re: System fast, but unstable

When shutting down or rebooting you should not "force quit" or "force shutdown" or push power buttons 4 seconds or unplug cable, in this case batterie etc., because primocache has to finish flushing whats in the write-cache for the timeout delay. Defer-write is ok, but please use...

Re: [Solved] File Deleting Delay - Access Denied - Windows I

Despite there is no single correlation to Primocache at all, I see no problem here... Win 7 Ult. 64bit Application experience is set to "manual" and is started. Programm Compatibility Assistant is deativated. Comodos Antivirus,Firewall and HIPS is running very well. In fact when you have n...

Re: Help please.

If you can still can see the disk letter in windows explorer you should try running chkdsk d: /R (right click, properties, tools, check for errors, search for defect sectors). If not you should try initialising the disk in windows-disk-management. Tip: Never force windows shut down the computer whil...

Re: zero cache hits in games

... did you finally now switched from LFU-R to LRU for the cache you use for that disk you have the game installed on....

AGAIN: LFU-R will not properly work.

YOu want LRU!
