Hello Jaga, Thank you for the answer, maybe I was wrong and stripping is not the right name for the feature. With raid 0 you aggregate the space to get a bigger logical disk. with raid 1 you mirror the data to get backup and speed increase. But with raid 1 you need a second disk with the same space ...

SSD caching with striping possible ?

Hello, I have an old board with a SATA2 controller :wtf: . Upgrading the board with a Sata3 SSD limits me to Sata2 3BG bandwith (in reality only 2.5BG). But the controller can handle 4 Sata2 ports if I could use a small ssd to cache the big one with striping (like in raid) I could reach on two ports...

Hello, Thanks for the answer. Problem not solved. The cache resisted several reboots this morning, until II shutdown the machine. When I power on the machine this evening, cache is reset.
