Re: [2021-01-30] PrimoCache 4.1.0 released!

It has been a long while since I logged in, and just wanted to say thank you for what is an amazing product, that just gets better and better. It has never been off my PC since beta, and I have never had a major bug, even in the early days of beta. I did once forget to reinstall it after a new build...

Re: 3.0.9?

Perhaps a daft question, but does the Fast Startup on off option refer to Windows 10 built in fast startup, or is there a fast startup built into Premocache?

Re: 3.0.9?

Installed with no problems, many thanks for this amazing program. It was good before, and I look forward to trying out this new version and its improvements.

Thank you

I helped in the beta testing of this excellent software before it was released as a commercial product, and have used it ever since, basically taking it for granted. The forum was a great place to both get help and learn, but it gradually died off a bit as Primocache grew from a child to a full fled...

Id NVME OK to use as cache

I have been using SSD as cache for all of the time, but was contemplating buying a Samsung 951 NVME to use instead. Would this work OK?

Congrats on the new version. Installed OK just wondered is there a change log from the previous version anywhere, or is it somewhere obvious and I have missed it.

Re: Can PrimoCache overcome 16 GB limit on Win7 64-bit?

Hi, just a quick note for those with a 64bit Win 7 OS, it is the home edition which is capped at 16gb, Pro and upwards is 192gb.

Re: Drive corruption on a multi boot system

Thanks for the suggestion, and it is a possibility that would stop the corruption, though I cannot see why an OS would actually write to another drive it should not be using at all, specifically to duplicate copies of software used by another different OS. I actually have a total of 9 drives on my s...

Re: Drive corruption on a multi boot system

Thanks for the quick response. I wrote I thought a detailed incident which made my problem clear, but it would seem I have failed. 1) The partition set aside and configured for L2 cash under Windows 7 is not seen in any of the other two operating systems as I would expect, so your analogy of drive b...

Drive corruption on a multi boot system

I only had primocache active on Windows 7 on my multi boot PC, which is installed on an 256gb ssd, most of the programs are kept on another drive to save space, and this has become my main system. On this main system I have Primo configured to provide drive D, (standard hard drive), with a 5gb L1, c...
