Re: What happens if the disk gets too full for RAM?
I'm aware of that. Let me explain it this way: Let's say I had an 8GB drive set up. Purely RAM. Now let's say my other applications are using a total of 12GB or RAM. What happens when the RAM drive tries to fill up? What if there isn't enough free RAM to store the complete 8GB of data on the RAM disk?

What happens if the disk gets too full for RAM?
Right now, I'm running a 16GB 50/50 hybrid ramdisk with variable allocation. And I was wondering what would happen if my RAM disk was full above 8GB, and I was using more than 8GB on other things.
That is, what happens if the disk tries to expand more than it has room for?

Using PrimoCache and Intel Smart Response
I currently have an OCZ Agility 3 60GB ssd, a 320GB RAID0 setup, and 16GB RAM. As it is, I have the OS on the SSD and games/media on the RAID, and then I have a 8GB RAM drive and 3GB primocache for both drives. However, I was thinking of using my SSD as cache instead, using Intel Smart Response. Tha...

Re: How does FancyCache compare to windows write caching?
Okay.
I just noticed that my "Cached" value in task manager changes from about 3500MB without fancycache to about 300MB WITH fancycache. I wanted to make sure that fancycache wasn't somehow impeding on superfetch's or write cache's performance.

How does FancyCache compare to windows write caching?
Well, first of all, I know the obvious: Write Caching doesn't cache READS.
How does Fancy Cache compare to, say, Write-Caching and Superfetch? Do they interfere? Should I disable one or the other?

How can I improve my read hit rate?
Here is my setup: H/W 16GB DDR-3 1600 60GB Agility 3 2x160GB WD Caviar Blue in RAID-0 S/W 6GB RAM Drive (using primo, so it doesn't use this much ram all the time.) SSD: 1GB RAM Cache 4kB cluster size LRU Algorithm Deferred Writing with 3s latency RAID-O HDD 1GB RAM Cache 128kB Cluster size LRU algo...
