Re: Severe memory errors with large write cache
I have tried several different block sizes; the block size only seems to affect how much memory I can allocate to the cache, not the probability of these errors happening. It only seems to happen with any frequency when I am pushing the cache to as large as I can (before getting "Unable to star...

Severe memory errors with large write cache
I don't like to report this, because it's vague, but it happens frequently when I try to use a large (> 50000 MB) cache. I don't see it happen much with less than that, but the system (2008R2 Enterprise) does have 64 GB of system RAM and theoretically shouldn't "mind" having 50 GB used for...

Re: Can't start a new cache task over about 48900 MB
Thank you for the suggestion; if I change the block size to 64K, I can start a cache of 53000 MB, but no higher (which is about the difference in the overhead, but still the "OS Free Memory" lists as around 8000 MB when the cache is started, which seems like quite a bit of memory to be una...

Can't start a new cache task over about 48900 MB
I am using Windows Server 2008R2 Enterprise with 64 GB of system memory (task manager shows 65513 MB total, 61790 MB available, 61054 MB free at the moment), and I am unable to start a new cache task under PrimoCache v0.9.1 with a read cache size of more than about 48900 MB (the exact number that ca...

Write cache with Windows RAID-1 (mirror)
If I have a software RAID-1 in place (using 2008R2), I see both physical drives in the "New Cache Task" window. If I select both halves of the mirror, everything appears to work properly, but I am wondering if this is the correct usage of the PrimoCache product in this circumstance. If I w...

BSOD: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
For the past few days I have been getting this error (BSOD: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) whenever I click "start caching" on FancyCache (nearly immediately and even after a fresh start with no particular programs running beyond things I've had in the Startup folder for months). I have uninstall...

Re: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
I suppose this is more of a tech support question; something must have changed on my system but I can't think of what it could be (except Windows updates, I suppose).

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
For the past few days I have been getting this error (BSOD: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) whenever I click "start caching" on FancyCache. I have uninstalled the product for the moment as I can't run blue-screen-causing diagnostics right now, but I will try some more tests when I can. Has anyone ...

Re: Progress during flush or stop
I do not need or want help with what you are determined to believe is a problem with the way I am happily using this software; this is a forum for bug reports and suggestions, not technical support. The simple fact is that FancyCache does precisely what I want it to do regardless of how much you mig...

Re: Progress during flush or stop
I posted the suggestion because I used the software and thought of something I would like to have. When I think of something I would like beta software to do, I don't try to guess whether everyone else using the software might feel the same way; that is the job of the product manager or usability ex...
