Suddenly, when I start my laptop today I get the same error and I'm using Primo RamDisk 5.50, the latest version. I tried uninstalling and installing the program and it doesn't work. What do I need to do now?
Please help. Thanks.

Re: Primo RAMDisk vs. VSuite RAMDisk vs. FancyCache
Well, sometimes the settings that are labeled "recommended" are better only because they are compatible for all other settings but not necessary for best performance.support wrote:When you run the program, you'll find that the Plain Image is labelled as recommended.

Re: Primo RAMDisk vs. VSuite RAMDisk vs. FancyCache
Yes, but what I don't understand is why DMM won't work with Smart Image? For example the RMADisk size is 512MB and the saved Smart Image file size is 256MB (because of how Smart Image works), so during startup it will only need to load 256MB memory allocation. So why then won't DMM work? Great, you...

Re: Primo RAMDisk vs. VSuite RAMDisk vs. FancyCache
As earlier we mainly focus on the DMM feature itself, I didn't introduce other options for simplicity. Smart Image: because it only stores valid disk sectors, during startup loading, only valid data is copied to the ramdisk. Delay Load: the image file data is loaded to the ramdisk only when needed ...

Re: Primo RAMDisk Questions
So with quick save, the program will only write small amount of stuff to update the image file therefore saving lots of excess writes for my SSD? see http://www.romexsoftware.com/en-us/primo-ramdisk/feature-image-file.html#quick-save After doing the "Right-click and select Properties" and...

Re: Primo RAMDisk vs. VSuite RAMDisk vs. FancyCache
There are two ways to use DMM with image file: 1. Use the "Delay Load" option. or 2. Use the "Smart Image" I thought you said earlier that as long as I use an image file the DMM would not work properly since it will allocated full-memory scale during startup? And how would Smart...

Re: Primo RAMDisk vs. VSuite RAMDisk vs. FancyCache
During shutdown it will still save a 512MB image file if I use plain image, right? And then when it loads that same image file during startup it will allocate the whole 512MB but only has actually 128MB contents still, right? Yes. And when I delete, let's say, a 1MB file it will release the unused ...

Re: Primo RAMDisk Questions
plain image has a BETTER performance than smart image? It's just that smart image has a smaller size on disk than plain image when saved? Yes. But without compact mode, when I right click the RAMDisk it will allocate the memory fully, right? Yes, the operation sequence "Right-click and then se...

Re: Primo RAMDisk Questions
1.) So what then is the use of the Compact Mode tick box if it is ONLY enabled with Smart Image and disabled ONLY for Plain/Compressed Image? Please think the case that no image file is associated. 2.) If Plain and Smart Image automatically uses Quick Save mode, what is the difference between these...

Re: Primo RAMDisk vs. VSuite RAMDisk vs. FancyCache
But after a few minutes it will release the unused memory allocation? It happens only when you delete a file. The memory holding this file may be released. Can you give me a concrete example of this from the time the program loads the image file at startup up to the time you delete a file and it wi...
