Some SSD manufactures provide custom tools for over-provisioning. For eg. Samsung Magician for Samsung SSDs. I kinda don't understand your question. Windows should be installed before installing PrimoCache. You can then set up caching for the drives you want to speed up.

The index database for cached data is kept in the memory. It requires fast access and it will be frequently updated. So currently we store it in the memory.
