Re: Elevator Sorted Write-back - Request for Enhancement

According to Diskeeper description of its intelliwrite tech, theoretically we think these two features can work together. However, we haven't tested and verified this. Need more time, sorry. yeah. I didn't see any conflict or performance lost using the combination for over 3 years since defer write...

Re: Elevator Sorted Write-back - Request for Enhancement

With Defer-Write enabled, PrimoCache does write deferred data in order of increasing block address and combining small writes to a large sequential write. :) Didn't want create another post since the my question is related to the sorted writeback. Re: [2019-12-31] PrimoCache 3.2.0 and 4.0.0 alpha released!

Thanks Support. Just an idea squeeze more performance out of Primocache already excellent function. The feature already there by not using L1 cache. All writes get written to L2 and then disk at the set deferred interval. This could be set as optional with warning about quicker wears on the SSD. Bes...

Re: [2019-12-31] PrimoCache 3.2.0 and 4.0.0 alpha released!

Hi Support, Can we get the option to flush the normal deferred and excess write from L1 to L2 first before hitting the disk. Any write that don't get hit to L2 is not cache, unless already in L1. If you have extremely large L1 cache, those data never get written to L2. That potential read cache that...

Re: Suggested Server settings

I usually gauge what I'm writing to the disk and do interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, and 60 to see when excess write being force to write to the disk. Took an average and set my deferred time after that. It seem for normal desktop deferred time for me is 10 (default setting) is good enough. Server workloa...

We plan to release the new version before the end of this year.
Any updates on a date or new features. :ugeek:
I think support said beta version of 3.5 before the year and not final. better than next year.
