L1 + L2

Hello, Im wondering. Does the L1 cache get flushed to L2 cache before it finally gets flushed into the source/destination? Im asking because it is really nice that, even though only write cache is enabled, when reading from those same files, the L2 cache files that have already been flushed remain i...

Re: A Question about Average for deferred write

When i set it to Average, the Latency doesnt matter, i can set it to 3600sec and it still starts emptying the cache after a minute or so

Re: PrimoCache is making my hard drives slower..

Ive been wanting to post for a while, similar to OPs question, but not really at the same time.

You mean throttling the speed of writing back? Yes, we have plans for this in order to avoid possible temporary system slowdown/hang when flushing lots of write-data.

Choosing maximum MB/s for cache writebacks?

Hello,

Are there any plans to implement a custom value for how fast the cache writes back the cache to disk?

Thank you

Re: L1 caching for a L2 cache?

By design, L2 cache partition cannot be a target volume in any cache task. So you cannot use L1 cache to speed up L2 cache partition. Because the goal is to speed up target volumes, we don't think caching L2 partition is needed. was under the impression that, when creating a task and choose both L1...
