Primocache doesn't work on the file just written.

OS: Windows 10 Pro 22H2 PrimoCache Version: 4.3.0 Setting I set up a cache task for a Windows storage space (Mirror) with 1GB L1 write-only cache and 200GB L2 read-only cache. Problem If I have a file just newly-written to that storage space, I can see L1-cache is written. However, when I read that ...

Enhance the description related to prefetching L1 Cache.

I'm using the Primocahe v4.3.0 and now use L1 write-only cache together with L2 read-only cache. I spent quite amount of time to learn that the following options described on the Configuration Terms page only show up in Cache Configuration when there is L1 cache. Prefetch Last Cache: If this option ...

Re: Write Mode Idle-Flush doesn't flush bytes after latency time is reached.

Can you tell me which one you can't see? I can see all of them from my browser (Edge). I'm sorry for the late response. All images cannot be displayed. The host imgur.com initially showed that there was an error in the image, and now shows a http 409 error. Can you upload these images to the forum ...

Re: Write Mode Idle-Flush doesn't flush bytes after latency time is reached.

The description for Idle-Flush is "In addition to the behavior of Native mode, it will also flush all deferred data to disk when Windows is idle." It doesn't look like AND. Besides, if you set Latency to a longer value, say 60 sec, you can see PrimoCache flushes the defer-write before Late...

About Mechanisms of Different Modes for Deferred Write

I've checked the explanation on the website. https://www.romexsoftware.com/en-us/primo-cache/terms-configuration.html Native is easy to understand. It's basically saying that Primocache will start to write deferred data to the disk after the specified Latency. My questions are about the other modes....

Is it possible to export level-2 cache ?

I've noticed that PrimoCache can save Level-1 cache to HDD for hibernation or reboot. So I think there is some way that PrimoCache can export the cache content. Now consider the case that we want to modify the configuration of level-2 or level-1 caches, which results in reset of both level-1 and lev...
