Re: GUI Stops Updating Cache Values
Gotcha. Yeah the only entry I have for FancyCcV is "The evaluation period for this installation of PrimoCache has expired." from when I reinstalled it and it first launched to expiry before I could enter the license info. Has verbose logging been added since that 2014 discussion?

Re: GUI Stops Updating Cache Values
Alright we'll see how this goes. Uninstalled, redownloaded, reinstalled. SHA1 of the PrimoCache 3.0.9 zip matches the 19A34869AFE30C5C02BF0AFE80DE191C64E6005E I've never saved any config files, so no problem there. I'm skeptical about corruption as I haven't any explicit file error generated while u...

Data on Reads From the Write Cache/Deferred Blocks?
I see the deferred blocks and total write values. Correct me if I'm mistaken but I don't see any tabulation regarding reads that have been fulfilled by reading from the write cache. . The GUI doesn't present data on reads that were able to be able to read from the write cache correct? Is it even tec...

GUI Stops Updating Cache Values
I'm commonly finding the GUI will cease updating the cache values. This happens for existing caches. Also, when it happens I can even delete and recreate a cache task and the new cache task won't update either. Closing and relaunching the GUI doesn't remedy it. The only thing that fixes it is a rebo...

Re: possible to benefit from PrimoCache for both host and VM?
Nothing is hardlinked/junctioned from S: back to the boot volume C (Boot VDI on volume V).

Re: Advice configuring Primocache Server
Great thread. I hear you loud and clear about better performance if cached in the guest vs the Hyper-V server OS and the licenses. I didn't see Hyper V server tagged as a supported OS so the above is great news. Performance trade-off withstanding, since Hyper V Server doesn't have a GUI, I just set ...

Re: possible to benefit from PrimoCache for both host and VM?
Further down the rabbit hole...Check this out this behavior of the caching of the secondary volume to V cache instead of the intended S cache. https://www.youtube.com/embed/Fufp-ZBQyEk?vq=hd1080 @support I've yet to observe corruption, yet as you'd expect it's desirable that S be it's own cache for ...

Re: possible to benefit from PrimoCache for both host and VM?
It seems this may not be holding true at the moment for VMs with a secondary virtual hard drive attached to my VirtualBox x64 setup 5.2.28 r130011. Primo caches host block reads fine on a Win10 x64 17763.475 host (cache task 1) It also caches guest (also Win10 x64 17763.475) block reads fine of the ...

Re: Compatability Issues
I recently wound up with some corrupt Acronis 2019 14690 backups. I did have deferred writes enabled. I'm uncertain as to the cause as of yet and I'll disable that for now. Is there anyone that can vouch for Acronis backups working fine in a deferred write config?
