Windows default cache
What should you do about windows default cache? Open task manager and select the performance tab. At the bottom it says "cached 3.4gb." Should you use primocache on top of this? or is there a way to allocate that cache to primocache (if so would that be better?)?
Re: Windows default cache
I would normally let Window have as much memory as possible to use for the file caching. If most of my work evolve around 4GB data (ISO, ZIP, RAW Video), I set about 4GB of L1 and the rest is used by Windows.
On my 32GB system, Primocache used about 8GB for L1 including overhead; awhile Windows used 15GB for cache out of the remaining 20GB available.
Hope that help.
