only 8KB for HDDs

Post by Tobiwan »

Not sure if it's a bug or I'm just dumb, but I can only get my HDDs in 8KB block size and not in 4KB. My SSDs and my NVMe can do 4KB with no problem. Has this always been the case with HDDs? All the cluster sizes are displayed to me as 4KB in PrimoCache and all disks are formatted the same.

When target volume capacity is too large, 4KB block size cannot work for such drives, so PrimoCache automatically removes the 4KB option.
