Re: PrimoCache Server in combination with a Intel 900P Optane card
@Axel Mertes, actually we're testing the storage performance with Intel 900P Optane cards on server systems. So far we only have 1 card. But later if possible we'll get more cards. @Support: Hi Support, can you elaborate on your results so far? Or maybe simply share some benchmark results like with...

Re: [2017-12-21] PrimoCache 3.0.2 released!
Thats exactly what we needsupport wrote:@0liVer. I understand. Yes, you're right. If you separate the L1 cache, PrimoCache only prefetches data in the read space. You may overcome this problem by using shared L1 cache space ( uncheck the "Individual R/W..." option).

Here is another interesting comparison picture thats says it all (for my kind of business): https://imagescdn.tweaktown.com/content/8/4/8423_107_intel-optane-ssd-900p-280gb-480gb-aic-nvme-pcie-review.png taken from: https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/8423/intel-optane-ssd-900p-280gb-480gb-aic-nvme-pc...

Re: PrimoCache Server in combination with a Intel 900P Optane card
@Jaga @Support Here is a test of the Optane 900P from toms hardware. This chart pretty much says it all: https://img.purch.com/r/600x450/aHR0cDovL21lZGlhLmJlc3RvZm1pY3JvLmNvbS9PL1kvNzI3OTU0L29yaWdpbmFsL2ltYWdlMDU4LnBuZw== taken from toms hardware, see here (chart is from page 3): http://www.tomshard...

PrimoCache Server in combination with a Intel 900P Optane card
Did anyone tried PrimoCache server in combination with a Intel 900P Optane card yet? We intend to use either 2 or 4 Optane cards as cache for our large server volume. It should fill our 40 GBit Ethernet connection to almost maximum then and reduce reaction times by a factor of 10 over current Samsun...

Re: [2017-05-27] PrimoCache 3.0.0 Beta is available now!
Here is a problem that has always existed and is further accentuated now with L2 Write cache.... I have a 30 Gb write cache for L2. My L1 is 1 Gb. Delay write 120 seconds - but the problem happens with smaller numbers and even larger e.g. 600 seconds. I process a lot of images via batching in photo...

preloading data into cache as read ahead AND read before cache, with user customizeable "n" blocks ;-) And an answer, if blocks that have just been written are available in cache for immediate reading afterwards. That was often suggested and I am not sure 3.0.0 implements this already. Su...

Re: [2017-05-27] PrimoCache 3.0.0 Beta is available now!
I'd simply like the ability to preload a folder/file by right-clicking it, and choosing the option from a Primocache context link. You could preload games, videos, whatever you wanted just before you used them, speeding it all up tremendously. I understand that for certain things this might be inte...
