Re: Breaking your hard drive/data into multiple drives with

dustyny, Thank you for the information. Since my use is just for the home, the tolerance (or risk) I have for errors for the sake of convenience is quite a bit higher than yours. My system does not get used nearly as much either so the chances of hardware failure are much less. With me doing things ...

Breaking your hard drive/data into multiple drives with Fanc

The logic or madness for my computer’s drive organization layout follows. A relatively small 100gb partition for Windows as Drive C: was created for the purpose of making it easier to back up the Windows OS. Currently the only way I know of reliably backing up the OS is by making a disc image the OS...

Re: FancyCache Startup Control With Windows 7

Thank you for your comments and the tip on setting restore points. Using restore points would certainly be easier than uninstalling and reinstalling programs. I just set a restore point on my computer and it only took about 15 seconds to create. In case anyone might be interested, the location of th...

Re: FancyCache Startup Control With Windows 7

Dustyny, Thank you for the reply to what was a dumb question. What had me confused is immediately after booting up my computer, Fancycache is listed neither as a service nor a process, at least by anything resembling its name. The suggestion you provided about stopping the caching and monitoring of ...

FancyCache Startup Control With Windows 7

The Window’s startup options provided by Fancycache are not clear if at all available. Once installed does Fancycache always run with a system boot? Is there any way to set/change startup settings Windows has for Fancycache within any of its menus? If not are there any other options? Is there any ea...

Intika, This is a little late in coming. Thank you for sharing the link to Autohotkey.com. The value of software providing some basic and easy to define system wide macros is not understood by many people. In dealing with solutions to problems with software it is extremely difficult to get a group o...

Re: Best Config Fort Greatest Perfomance !

I finally got my additional memory in so I am up to a total of 8 GB now. Because of past problems with my system/usage I have found 2GB for the OS to be a little slim, and thus have configured 2 GB to Primo Ramdisk (PR) for virtual memory (paging files). The remaining 4 GB of invisible memory have b...

Re: Accessing Invisible Memory

Thanks again for the quick reply. Not to be difficult, but the "Enable OS Invisible Memory" option in VR was not checked while I had the memory conflict mentioned with PR. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit if that is of any help. Regarding the temp files based upon your responce it ...

Re: Accessing Invisible Memory

Thank you for the quick and most helpful replies. All is working well now. Just for your information, Primo Ramdisk would not enable invisible memory until I had uninstalled Vsuite Ramdisk (VR), even though it was not using any IM after a reboot. The exe file you recommended worked well for removing...
