Re: PrimoCache device driver slowing down SSD copy...
I've done some extensive testing on another server. I was unable to reproduce the performance difference. It took me a while, but eventually I realized that the difference between the test server and the production server is that the production server was using BitLocker  I created a volume w...

Re: PrimoCache device driver slowing down SSD copy...
If it helps, I'm using the HDTune file benchmark, 32GB file size to exhaust the cache on the H730P, random data pattern.

Re: PrimoCache device driver slowing down SSD copy...
I've noticed something similar. If you pause the caching for a volume the performance is TERRIBLE, like drive "active time" during a benchmark is ~60% and throughput is ~50% of what I would expect. If I remove the volume from the cache task the performance is significantly better, but slow...

Re: Strange Server Performance Issue
Same strange difference between volumes that are on the same 32GB cache set. Ran tests multiple times, verified the benchmark activity never actually hit the disk.

Re: Strange Server Performance Issue
This server has the PERC 710P volume and storage spaces volume on the same 32GB cache task in PrimoCache. Notice the difference of the StorageSpaces volume. I verified in task manger there is no disk activity during the tests so it's only hitting the cache. PERC System.png This is the server with th...

Strange Server Performance Issue
Hello, I'm testing 4.2.0 trial on a server and I'm seeing a very strange performance issue. Any cached volume on the PERC H710P controller is capping at about 1.5GB/s read and write. This happens for both an HDD array and a SSD array on the PERC controller. I am testing using HDTunePro using an 8GB ...

Re: [2021-01-30] PrimoCache 4.1.0 released!
Are there any plans to add back in the ability to use 4Kn drives as cache drives? I had been using Storage Spaces to RAID-0 NVMe drives for a large and fast cache for large spinning disk volumes. It's keeping me from upgrading at this point.

I also am very interested in a release for Server 2016
I would be willing to test a beta on my server 2016 test rig.
